Incident: Wildfires, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Mudflows, and Debris Flows directly related to the Wildfires
Physical Loan Application Deadline Date: 08/04/2022
Economic Injury (EIDL) Loan Application Deadline Date: 02/06/2023
Supplementary Information:
The notice of the President’s major disaster declaration for the State of NEW MEXICO, dated 05/04/2022, is hereby amended to
expand the incident for this disaster to include flooding, mudflows, and debris flows directly related to the wildfires. This disaster declaration is also amended to establish the
incident period for this disaster as beginning 04/05/2022 and continuing through 07/23/2022 (subject to change). All other information in the original declaration remains unchanged.

Note: Amendment #1 was made on June 30, 2022, and extended the deadline for filing applications for physical damage from 07/05/22 to 08/04/22. All other information in the original declaration remained unchanged.

The deadline to apply for an SBA Disaster Loan–Physical Damage is
August 4, 2022.
Physical Damage Loans are available to those in the primary declared counties: Colfax, Lincoln, Mora, San Miguel, and Valencia
Apply:
SBA Disaster Loan–Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) deadline is
February 6, 2023. EIDL Loans are available to businesses in the primary and neighboring declared counties.

New Mexico District Office (NMDO) for an overview of disaster assistance resources available to businesses, homeowners, renters, and nonprofits negatively impacted by the New Mexico wildfires.
The SBA
Office of Disaster Assistance (ODA) and FEMA will
provide resources available to New Mexicans in or around the declared disaster areas. Guest speakers from federal and state government agencies and SBA Resource Partners will also present on resources they can provide. Guest speakers vary weekly (e.g., NM
Economic Development Department (EDD), NM
SBDC, NM
Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC), NM
Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)).

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC)
Visit a federal-state Disaster Recovery Center for in-person disaster recovery assistance.
Important
DRCs are available to those who need in-person assistance with the application process, do not have access to a computer/internet, have questions or issues, or are unsure where to begin.
Those who do not wish to visit a DRC, or are unable, can apply online:

Applicants can start the process online (see the FEMA and
SBA disaster assistance links above). If assistance is needed during the process, the SBA online application can be saved, and the applicant can visit a DRC in person for help or contact
