MAÑANA: Taller de SBA sobre cómo solicitar subvenciones para centros de negocios para mujeres

Que:Taller para solicitantes del programa de subvenciones del Women’s Business Center (WBC)

El martes 17 de agosto, la Administración Federal de Pequeños Negocios de EE. UU. Organizará un taller virtual en colaboración con las oficinas de distrito de Puerto Rico, Buffalo y Oklahoma de SBA, para educar a las organizaciones en Puerto Rico, Tulsa, OK y Rochester, NY sobre las mejores prácticas con respecto al proceso de solicitud de subvenciónes del Women’s Business Center (WBC). El evento también explicará cómo solicitar las subvenciones del Centro de Negocios para Mujeres de SBA para organizaciones anfitrionas del Centro de Negocios para Mujeres ya establecidas y aspirantes para brindar servicios comerciales orientados para mujeres emprendedoras.

“Ayudar a las mujeres emprendedoras en Puerto Rico a comenzar, crecer, expandirse y recuperarse son misiones clave de los Centros de Negocios de Mujeres. Recomiendo encarecidamente a todas las organizaciones elegibles en Puerto Rico que deseen solicitar esta oportunidad de subvención del WBC a que se registren y se unan a este seminario web informativo gratuito, para conocer los requisitos y el proceso de solicitud de esta subvención”, dijo el Director de Distrito de SBA de Puerto Rico y de la Islas Vírgenes de EE. UU. Director Josué E. Rivera.

El programa de SBA WBC es una red nacional de más de 130 centros que ofrecen asesoramiento, capacitación y acceso a capital a mujeres que buscan comenzar, hacer crecer o expandir sus pequeñas empresas. Las solicitudes para estas oportunidades de subvenciones deben publicarse en www.grants.gov . No se permitirán otros métodos de presentación. Las propuestas enviadas fuera del plazo estipulado serán rechazadas sin ser evaluadas.

WHAT:           

Women’s Business Center (WBC) Grant Program Applicant Workshop

On Tuesday, August 17, the U.S. Small Business Administration will host a virtual workshop in partnership with SBA’s Puerto Rico, Buffalo, and Oklahoma District Offices, to educate organizations in Puerto Rico, Tulsa, OK, and Rochester, NY on best practices regarding the Women’s Business Center (WBC) grant application process. The event will also explain how to apply for SBA Women’s Business Center grants for established and aspiring Women’s Business Center host organizations to provide outcome-oriented business services for women entrepreneurs.

“Assisting women entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico start, grow, expand and recover are key missions of Women’s Business Centers. I strongly encourage all eligible organizations in Puerto Rico wishing to apply for this WBC-hosting opportunity to register and join this free informational webinar, to learn about requirements and the process of applying for this grant,” said SBA Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands District Director Josué E. Rivera.

The workshop will take place in English, but a Spanish version of the slides used during the event will be made available to the participants following the session.

Interested 501(c) nonprofits that provide entrepreneurial development services to women entrepreneurs, especially those in underserved communities.

NOTE:

Eligible applicants must be private, nonprofit organizations with 501(c) tax-exempt status from the U.S. Treasury/Internal Revenue Service and must provide services to the population within the specified market area.

The SBA WBC program is a national network of more than 130 centers that offer counseling, training, and access to capital to women seeking to start, grow or expand their small businesses. Applications for these grant opportunities must be posted to www.grants.gov. No other methods of submission will be permitted. Proposals submitted after the stipulated deadline will be rejected without being evaluated.
