This annual event, designed to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of small businesses across the nation, will culminate in the 2024 National Small Business Week Awards Ceremony on May 2, 2024, hosted by the San Antonio District Office.
Regional Administrator Edward “Ted” James expresses his anticipation, stating, “National Small Business Week is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the hard work and innovation of small business owners.” San Antonio District Director Mary Hernandez encourages self-nominations and urges everyone to submit nominations promptly.

The SBA Awards for National and District Small Business Week include categories like Small Business Person of the Year, Small Business Exporter, and more. The San Antonio District Office introduces local awards such as Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Family-Owned Business of the Year, Minority Small Business Champion or Business of the Year, Veteran Small Business Champion or Business of the Year, and Women in Business Champion or Business of the Year.

To qualify for these local awards, nominees must fit within the award category, demonstrate business success, and submit the required nomination package. Categories include Small Business Champion of the Year, Volunteer efforts beyond business responsibilities, and Small Business Media Advocate of the Year.
