Utah Disaster Loans Information
Residents and Businesses in Utah Affected by Severe Thunderstorms and Flooding
Residents and businesses in Utah affected by severe thunderstorms and flooding that occurred on August 3-4 can now access low-interest federal disaster loans. This declaration, initiated following a request from Governor Spencer Cox on September 28 and announced by Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), encompasses Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah, and Wasatch counties. The SBA’s goal is to swiftly provide efficient federal disaster loans to support the recovery and rebuilding efforts of affected communities and businesses.
Marla Trollan, Utah SBA District Director, encouraged storm-affected businesses, nonprofits, homeowners, and renters to visit the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Draper. She emphasized the importance of unity in rebuilding Utah and expressed readiness to help those in need.
