Introducing the Miami-Dade Business Navigator: Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
We are thrilled to present the Miami-Dade Business Navigator (MDBN) program
A dynamic initiative supported, in part, by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Spearheaded by the Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) and in collaboration with six esteemed community organizations, including Ascendus, Branches, the EDC of South Miami-Dade, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Prospera, and StartUP FIU Procurement, this program aims to empower underserved local entrepreneurs in Miami-Dade County, helping them launch, grow, and revitalize their businesses. The focus of MDBN lies on supporting small businesses, including microbusinesses with less than 10 employees, owned by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

Miami-Dade County boasts incredible diversity and opportunity, making it an ideal location for budding and expanding businesses. However, navigating government programs and small business resources can often be a complex task. That’s where the Miami-Dade Business Navigator program steps in. We collaborate with trusted community-based organizations to assist small businesses in accessing the full range of community resources, services, and programs available to them. By bolstering these local groups, we aim to expand their reach and create a robust network of small business providers in Miami-Dade, ultimately improving access to essential support for starting new ventures, fostering growth in existing businesses, and facilitating recovery from pandemic-related impacts.
