Utah Small Business Administration and Go Utah to Host a Series of Virtual Networking Events
The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) recently announced a partnership with the Utah Small Business Administration to help Utah businesses navigate the Utah entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The
Utah Business Bridge is a series of quarterly virtual networking events connecting small business owners with key resources available statewide. These virtual events will be held quarterly and cover topics such as:

Resources for women entrepreneurs (Oct. 25, 2022)
-
Launching a business
-
Capital access
-
Aerospace, defense, and government contracting
-
Inclusion
Small businesses participating in these events will be informed about the latest resources and have opportunities to network with providers in virtual breakout rooms.
“The SBA Utah District Office has partnered many years with Go Utah and we are thrilled to bring this new initiative forward,” said Marla Trollan, SBA Utah District Director. “There are numerous organizations in the state that provide free support to business
during various stages of development. The Business Bridge webinar series provides a much needed platform to connect business all over the state to these valuable resources.”

SBA Utah District Office Seeks Nominations for
National Small Business Week 2023
The SBA is proud to announce that its Utah District Office is ready to accept nominations for the 2023 National and District Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year Award.
“One of the best parts of working with small businesses is taking a moment and recognizing all the hard work the business-owner has put in,”
said Marla Trollan, SBA Utah District Director. “This year we were able to see Utah businesses receive state, regional, and national level awards. We are proud of what the small businesses in Utah are doing for our economy and their local communities
and hope others will take a moment to nominate them for a 2023 SBA Small Business Award.”

The Utah District Office will be providing the upcoming How to Submit an Award Winning Nomination training for those wanting to learn the steps to nominate a business. The webinar will be held both Wednesday,
October 12th at 10:00 am and Wednesday,
November 9th at 10:00 am.
The Utah District Office must receive all nominations by electronic submission ONLY to the
Utah District’s BOX account no later 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 8, 2022.

The Utah Business Bridge is a virtual networking series sponsored by the the SBA Utah District Office and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. At this quarterly event series, attendees will learn about small business resources available throughout
