The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to answer questions from industry. The Government response is below in RED text. What is the process for the recycling rebate. Who will receive it.? Does it need to be included in my cost total? The process for any recycling rebates are included in the PWS. The rebates shall be sent to the agent cashier at the Cincinnati VA Medical center within the timeframe specified in the PWS. The pricing that is to be submitted in the price-cost schedule shall only be the direct costs to the Government to support this requirement, i.e., dumpster rental and pickups. The subcontractor says that his company operates by paying to remove the scrap metal. How does that work? No, this is a new requirement. There was no previous award. It also says that the maximum amount for this bid is $32K? That amount is based on the Independent Government Cost Estimate. We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. This is a NEW requirement.
