NASA has awarded the Earth System Explorers Program (ESEP) The Carbon Investigation (Carbon-I) mission Phase A Concept Study to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), of Pasadena, California. The contract action was awarded competitively as a result of Announcement of Opportunity (AO) NNH23ZDA016O. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract that includes a 13-month base period with one 5-month option. The period of performance began September 6, 2024. The work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Pasadena, California.
