The Ammunition Holding Area was maintained by a team provided on order from Letterkenny Army Depot. Due to budget cuts and draw downs in the Army, the military team could no longer provide repair services at the AHA. The AHA must be accessible 24/7 to all units on Fort Jackson and is critical to mission success of BCTs and supporting units. The unpredictable weather in the Fort Jackson area contributes to unforeseen malfunctions of the system, and it is critical that the system be repaired immediately to not interfere with unit missions.
